Wholehearted living! This week we started into a new series titled, “Wholehearted”, diving into what living wholeheartedly can practically mean in our lives. Pastor Jeni challenges us to think critically about how we are living out our devotion to Christ. Join us as we learn from the book of 1 Samuel what it means to love God wholeheartedly.

Notes from Sunday’s Sermon:

  • Wholeheartedly = with complete sincerity and commitment

  • Living wholeheartedly means taking even our discouragement, bitterness, & anguish to God.

  • Living wholeheartedly means choosing obedience even when it hurts.

  • Living wholeheartedly means never missing an opportunity to praise God.

  • Living wholeheartedly means never taking for granted who you might be raising or impacting.

  • Living wholeheartedly means knowing your strength & ability is only a small piece of the story.

Love the Lord your God wholeheartedly.

It’s 2026 ya’ll!

We are kicking off the new year with a new series centered around hope and fear. This week Pastor Jeni reminds us that through Christ, our hopes and fears are secured. We then reflected on 2026 together. Below you will find all of the same resources used during the service. Join us to begin 2026 on a reflective and spiritual note.

Notes from Sunday’s Sermon:

…the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

Isaiah 60:1-3, 19-22 NLT

  • Because the light has come, we carry our hopes & fears a little differently.

Mark 4:35-41 NLT

  • What if the Jesus who can calm literal wind & waves carries our hopes & fears thorugh 2026?

REFLECTION:

“I will remember the deed of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Psalm 77:11-12

  • Where did you see God’s faithfulness this year?

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13a-14

  • What disappointments are you carrying from 2025 that you’d like to let go of?

“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” Psalm 86:11

  • How can you be more wholeheartedly devoted to Jesus in 2026?

  • What spiritual practice could help you be more wholehearted this year?

“I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart - where - down in my heart - where - down in my heart…”

Joy is something found deep down inside that no thing can take from us.

Joy is the word of the week in our Advent series this week. Pastor Jeni preaches about the importance of joy, the gift that it is to us, and where it is found. Join us for a wonderful message on the Joy of the Lord.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • Truth stabilizes. Purpose fortifies.

  • How do we maintain joy when life is not joy-filled?

  • The gift of God’s presence is the source of joy no matter our circumstances.

  • Joy is a product of the Holy Spirit alive in us.

  • Because of the Resurrection of Christ, no one can steal our joy.

Jesus is our joy!

Christ has come. Christ is coming. Christ WILL come again.

We are in the second week of the Advent season! This week we focused in on the peace that Christ brought and brings to our lives. Pastor Jeni Hall is back with us once again to preach the sermon as we discover how peace can exist deep within us because of Jesus Christ; a peace that surpasses understanding.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • We do not become chaos immune when we choose obedience to Jesus.

  • We live in this anticipatory Shalom - we live expecting and awaiting the day when all will be made right.

  • We are most like our Father in heaven when we not only live at peace, but when we bring peace to spaces.

  • We don’t just dine in peace at the table in the midst of chaos, but often God asks us to scoot over & make room at the feast of peace for our enemies.

CELEBRATION SUNDAY.

This Sunday we celebrated together what we call CELEBRATION SUNDAY in which we had both our english-speaking congregation and spanish-speaking congregation joined together in unified worship within the same service. We had a wonderful time encountering God as one church family.

ADVENT WEEK 1: HOPE

This Sunday was also the first week of Advent. Pastor Amanda preached on the Hope that comes as we move into this time of excitement surrounding Christ’s birth. We kicked off Advent well remembering that “We are people of hope.” Join us this week for a message that will bring encouragement, light to darkness, and hope.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • The silence was not absence - it was preparation.

  • When God seems distant, silent, or late… that is often when He is preparing a miracle. He is never absent. He is never late.

  • God often begins His greatest works invisibly.

  • The church has always been most powerful when the world is at its darkest.

  • God’s Grace is always reaching and saving. God’s imprint is on all of His creation and He moves it toward His purpose.

  • Every act of compassion reveals the hand of God.

WE ARE PEOPLE OF HOPE.

*There was trouble with the livestream recording this week. In place of an audio recording this week, we have linked the YouTube recording for you to listen to the message.

This Sunday, the week before Thanksgiving, Pastor Beau Hamilton fittingly preaches on gratitude. As we move into this intentional week of thankfulness, Pastor Beau speaks of a few different and unique ways we can be grateful. Join us for a purposeful message on gratitude.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • Three Ways to Show Gratitude…

    Gratitude toward God.

    Gratitude toward others.

Gratitude that leads to a life surrendered to Jesus Christ.

  • Gratitude opens the door to worship. It shifts our focus from what’s wrong in life to who is right - God himself.

  • Gratitude toward God always spills over into gratitude toward others.

  • When we live surrendered lives, gratitude becomes visible.

  • It’s not just spoken; its seen in how we love, how we serve, howe we forgive, how we give.

    Remember Daily.

    Rejoice Intentionally.

    Rrespond Faithfully.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • Leave space to listen.

Join us as we continue to find (or not find) the meaning of life under the sun each week found within the pages of Ecclesiastes. If you missed week 1, go back and watch it first then go ahead and push that play button below!

Things to consider as you listen:

  • Both knowledge and wisdom are connected with the fear of Yahweh.

  • Wisdom & Knowledge, Madness & Folly can all leave you empty.

THE SOLUTION

  • The teacher tested pleasure & wealth. (Ecclesiastes 2:1-11)

  • The teacher tested wisdom. (Ecclesiastes 2:12-16)

  • This led to despair. (Ecclesiastes 2:17-23)

  • There is a season & a time for everything. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

  • The teacher wonders if it would be better not to be born at all… (Ecclesiastes 4:1-3)

  • A little is better with contentment. (Ecclesiastes 4:4-8)

  • Two are better than one. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

  • Better to be poor but wise. (Ecclesiastes 4:13-16)

  • ENJOY God’s Gifts! (Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 & 3:9-13)

This week we start into a new sermon series through the book of Ecclesiastes titled, “Meaningless”. Have you ever asked yourself, “what’s the point?” when referring to the things of life? This series is for you! Pastor Jeni starts this week by introducing that very point. Join us for this sermon series as we go through one of the most unique books in Scripture together, discovering what the “Author” and the “Teacher” have to say about life under the sun.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • The Bible is full of many diverse literary styles.

  • Literary style impacts interpretation.

  • Ecclesiastes is often categorized as wisdom literature.

    • 2 characters in Ecclesiastes: The Author & the Teacher

  • Qohelet - “Teacher” - translated to mean “convener of an assembly” or “collector of sentences”

  • Hebel - “meaningless” - literal translation is “breath” or “vapor”

  • The pleasures & accomplishments of life are meaningful, but they do not provide ultimate meaning.

  • Author’s Summary:

    • Wisdom is good even though sometimes it hurts.

    • Everything will be judged.

    • The Solution: Fear God & obey his commands.

This week in our series, “The Journey Deeper”, Pastor Jeni preaches on the topic of Witness. First looking at Colossians 3:1-5 & 10, Pastor Jeni reminds us of the biblical definition of “to witness”. She goes on to preach on how our lives are the greatest witness that we possess and that through our lives we can put Jesus on display. Furthermore, we can simply tell our stories of how Christ saved and is transforming us. Join us as we continue in “The Journey Deeper” series with a meaningful message on Witness.

Things to consider as you listen:

  1. To witness is to tell what you’ve seen or heard.

  2. We witness with our lives as we put the character of Jesus on display.

  3. Our greatest witness is our lives.

  4. We tell our stories.

Two Challenges:

  1. Read the book of Acts in less than a week.

  2. Share your story.

Welcome to week 5 in our series titled, “The Journey Deeper”, where we are exploring how the regular, rhythmic practices of a Jesus follower become the trellis on which their life in Christ grows. This week is all about Community. We take a look at the early Church formation as well as the creation of humanity at the very beginning to hopefully shape how we view - what we believe - of Community. Join us as we seek God’s direction for our community-driven, spiritual lives together.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • As image bearers of the Triune God, we were created for community.

  • We’ve been intentionally designed to need one another.

  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience feelings of loneliness on a daily basis.

  • Fictive kinship group = people who are not related by blood or marriage but form strong bonds and act as family members, providing emotional support, stability, and practical care.

  • The local church is built on relationships that become “kin” - where encouragement, support, and accountability is foundational.

  • Community Groups - a chosen family built upon shared life and commitment to Journey Deeper together through fellowship, study of God’s Word, and prayer.

ACTS 2:42-47

4 Invitations for Community:

  1. Be family around a table.

  2. Share your joys and sorrows.

  3. Advocate for growth.

  4. Stay.

  • Generosity is sowing not losing.

  • Generosity is between you & God.

  • Generosity is supplied by God.

  • Generosity results in gratitude & glory to God.

  • Generosity is voluntary & sacrificial.

    • 90% of the World Evangelism Fund (global missions funding) comes from the U.S.

We are back with another week in the series, “The Journey Deeper”, in which we are exploring spiritual disciplines that we as believers can discover and implement in our lives. This week’s sermon was all about Scripture. Pastor Jeni took us through several passages in Scripture to remind us of the goal of Scripture and what Scripture is and is not. Join us for a deep dive into the purpose of Scripture this week as we journey deeper together.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • God’s Word is not our “how-to” guide for life. It’s our “who-is-God” manual that informs who we become.

  • Knowing God has to be our goal for reading Scripture.

  • The life of Jesus is the lens through which we read the Old Testament.

  • Scripture leads us to salvation.

  • Scripture teaches & corrects us.

  • Scripture gives us wisdom & discernment.

  • Scripture prepares & equips us for every good work.

  • Scripture gives us hope.

We are returning for Week 2 of our series titled, “The Journey Deeper”, in which we dig deep into the spiritual practices that form us into the likeness of Christ. Week of this series is all about Service. Pastor Jeni leads us on a walk through Scripture as we discover together how service is called to be both internal and external/for the Church and for the world. Join us as we build upon our understanding of what it means to serve one another and the world.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • The regular, rhythmic practices of a Jesus follower become the trellis on which their life in Christ grows.

  • Jesus followers do what Jesus did.

  • Jesus followers are washers of feet.

  • Serving is both internal work & external witness.

  • It makes an impact in the church & in the world.

INTERNAL WORK

CHURCH When we serve one another,

it changes us.

WORLD When we serve those in need,

it changes us.

EXTERNAL WORK

CHURCH When we serve one another, we are

embodying God’s love for his people.

WORLD When we serve those in need, we are

embodying God’s love for all.

  • We are most like Christ when we are washing feet.

We are kicking off a new sermon series this week titled, “The Journey Deeper”. This series will be all about spiritual disciplines that shape and form us. We will be discovering God’s best for us through 8 spiritual disciplines found throughout Scripture. Pastor Jeni introduced our first practice this week, “Sabbath and Solitude”. Join us for a wonderful first week in our new series.

*There will be a resource list at the bottom of this page.

Things to consider as you listen:

The regular, rhythmic practices of a Jesus follower become the trellis on which their life in Christ grows.

Be WITH Jesus. Become LIKE Jesus. DO what Jesus did.

The invitation before us is to engage in these practices both alone and together.

God rested.

The first day for the first humans was a day of holy rest with God.

The world tells us we earn rest. The Good News tells us God gifts us rest as a testament that our worth is 100% defined by who God is & what He does, not what we do.

A day of holy rest has been a part of God’s design since the beginning.

Sabbath - “to stop”

The Sabbath is a 24-hour period set aside to stop, rest, delight, and worship. An ancient way to find rest for your soul.

  1. STOP - The deliberate decision to disrupt the undertow of demands that never end.

  2. REST - The deliberate decision to set a different pace for the day.

  3. DELIGHT - The invitation to make space for the things that bring joy.

  4. WORSHIP - The deliberate decision to make this day an act of worship before the Lord.

Solitude

Solitude - a taste of sabbath rest every day

Through solitude, we’re invited into Jesus’ pattern of retreating from distractions to be fully present with the Father and returning to serve in community.
