Community Groups
We’re on a mission to Encounter God, Journey Deeper, and Make an Impact. Being part of a small group of fellow believers is essential as we journey deeper in our faith. As we strive to follow the ways of Jesus, we truly need others to walk alongside us to encourage, inspire, and offer accountability.
This group has bonded over being in the throws of parenting teens & preteens! They meet prayerfully journey with one another through this unique stage of life.
Our Youth Ministry serves students in 7th through 12th grade. On Wednesday nights, they experience a large group teaching session with worship & a lesson. Then they break up into age-based small groups to take the topic a little deeper in a way that meets them at their stage of life.
Our PreTeen ministry serves kids in 4th through 6th grade. On Wednesday nights, they experience a large group teaching session with worship & a lesson. Then they break up into age-based small groups to take the topic a little deeper in a way that meets them at their stage of life.
Think playdate with some spiritual encouragement sprinkled in! This group is open to the public and was designed to give moms an outlet in the middle of the week. Depending on the weather, they meet either on the playground or in the gym. There are always bikes & scooters involved and occasionally they break out the bounce house! If you’ve got kids in the birth through 3rd Grade, this is a midweek pick-me-up for you!
This is BCC’s newest community group and just began in June! This is an intergenerational group, with the belief that we can learn from one another as we bring different perspectives from our various "locations" on our faith journey!
This group is loud, rowdy, & a whole lot of fun! Each week, they share a meal together and then discuss Sunday’s sermon while the kids play together. Their goal is to truly share life together.
This group is committed to gathering on Sundays to pray over the upcoming worship service. It’s truly intergenerational with the youngest current attender being 4 years old! All are welcome to join this special time of prayer as a way to build community & cooperate with the Holy Spirit going into our worship service!
On Sunday mornings as a part of our Kids ministry programming, every age group has their own small group embedded within their Sunday worship time! Starting at age 3 in our Preschool Ministry all the way up to 6th grade, our Kids experience a large group teaching session with worship & a lesson. This intergenerational group of men are exploring their faith and growing in relationship with one another by participating in a variety of studies.
Nexus is a group focused on listening to Jesus through Scripture, through the Holy Spirit, and through each other! Our desire is to be genuine followers (disciples) of Jesus who in turn go into our world and make disciples!
The Ambassadors are a lecture-based Community Group (or, as they like to call it, “Sunday School”) led by Bob Skaggs. This group consists of members ages 60+.
The Young and the Rest of Us is a mix of Boomers and some younger folks. Our group alternates between Bible studies, topical or book studies, the pastoral sermon series, and self-generated topics.
Open Hands meets on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month after service. The eat together (bring your own lunch) and spending time discussing the sermon they just heard together.
