Goodness: a positive moral quality characterized especially by interest in the welfare of others.
Goodness describes loving action that contributes to the well-being, building-up, and salvation of others.
So this Sabbath year is not simply a call to let the land rest, but it is a shift in the mindset of what it means to have ownership over the land, and what it produces.
How can we be creative to find viable avenues of economic justice that fits into our economic framework?
Jesus proclaimed the year of the Lord’s favor, and enacted goodness through his loving action in the world.
