It is week three in our series through Romans. Pastor Jeni preached this week on we have to choose faith for ourselves not inherit it from others. She said that we need to listen for God and actually do what He says, not reject it. Sometimes His methods seem strange to us, but He is for us!

What does this Good News mean for Paul’s fellow Israelites who don’t acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah?
We cry out to God. God answers our pleas. We reject said answer to our pleas.
God as the Sovereign One means He has the power, wisdom, and authority to do anything He chooses within His creation.
Faith & righteousness are not inherited.
How often are we trapped in our own survival mode & miss the opportunity before us to embrace dependence upon God?
There are going to be methods and moments that leave us scratching our heads, but ALL is aimed at sharing the Good News of Jesus - offering restored relationships - to ALL who will receive the gift of grace!!
God didn’t abandon his covenant with Israel. He stepped away to make room for more on the family tree. And even his stepping away was aimed at the redemption of Israel.
